UCI Health and the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation present Medicine in Our Backyard, a series of lectures featuring internationally known UCI Health physicians who will discuss research and cutting-edge technology in their various fields of expertise.
In this lecture, Dr. Howard Federoff will present Biomarkers and Drug Repositioning for Neurodegenerative Diseases. In 2014, Federoff made international news after he led a team of researchers in designing a blood test that predicted the development of Alzheimer's disease with 90 percent accuracy. In this presentation, he will discuss this groundbreaking discovery and new advances in Alzheimer's disease research.
