Dr. Lydia L. Aye is a triple board-certified UCI Health hepatologist who specializes in advanced liver disease, hepatitis and autoimmune liver diseases.
Her clinical interests include viral hepatitis B and C, autoimmune hepatitis, decompensated cirrhosis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, Wilson's disease, hereditary hemochromatosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and pre- and post-liver transplant care.
Aye earned her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif. She completed an internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Banner — University Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., followed by a fellowship in transplant hepatology the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Fla.
She is the co-author of several research papers in prestigious journals.
