Dr. M. Baraa Allaf is a board-certified UCI Health obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in maternal-fetal medicine and perinatal care.
His clinical interests include high-risk pregnancies, advanced obstetric ultrasound, fetal echocardiography and fetal intervention. He also performs prenatal diagnostic procedures, including chorionic villus sampling (CVS), amniocentesis and fetal blood sampling.
Allaf earned his medical degree at Aleppo University’s Faculty of Medicine in Syria. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in New York, followed by a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in New York.
Allaf, who has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and made presentations at several regional and national conferences, has research interests in prenatal ultrasound and complications related to carrying multiple fetuses. He is also actively involved in training and supervising medical students, residents and fellows in maternal-fetal medicine.
Allaf sees patients at UCI Health Women’s Healthcare Center & Center for Fetal Evaluation in Orange, UCI Health Family Health Center — Santa Ana and UCI Health OB/GYN Associates — Fountain Valley.
