Dr. Rebecca S. Ahdoot is a board-certified UCI Health nephrologist. She specializes in the management of acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension/high blood pressure, kidney stones, electrolyte abnormalities and dialysis. She is dedicated to educating patients and explaining medical information so that they participate as partners in their treatment.
Ahdoot earned her medical degree from UC Irvine and completed her internal medicine residency training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. She then participated in the UCLA Kennamer/Kaiser Permanente Community Medicine Fellowship, which focuses on healthcare policy, patient advocacy and primary care. Ahdoot later completed her nephrology training in a joint Kaiser Permanente and Cedars-Sinai program in Los Angeles.
She is passionate about community service and outreach. She founded a bi-annual health fair to address the lack of affordable and timely vision and hearing services available to low-income patients. She has volunteered twice in Guatemala with the HELPS International Group Medical Mission.
