Mariko Horie, LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist with the UCI Health Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute. Her clinical interests include women's health, digestive disorders, pediatrics, stroke and stroke recovery, as well as neurological disorders.
She earned a doctorate of acupuncture and oriental medicine (DAOM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, Calif., after receiving a master's degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland. She also studied as a senior scholar at the the Henan University of Chinese Medicine in Zhengzhou, China.
Horie enjoys treating patients of all ages with acupuncture, herbs and a traditional Chinese therapy called moxibustion. Her practice location is in Costa Mesa.
