Dr. Li-Mei Lin is a fellowship-trained UCI Health neurosurgeon who specializes in cerebrovascular neurosurgery, neuro-interventional surgery and endoscopic neurosurgery.
Lin’s practice focuses on surgical and endovascular treatments of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), cavernous malformations and dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs) of the brain and spinal cord. She also has expertise in pre-operative embolization of brain and spinal tumors, as well as endoscopic resection of brain tumors.

She is able to weigh the risks and benefits of all available options and recommend the best treatment modality tailored to each patient. She also specializes treating cerebral aneurysms with in a new endovascular technique using the Pipeline™ Embolization Device (PED), and she has actively participated in more than 200 cases.
As director of cerebrovascular and neuroendovascular research at the UC Irvine School of Medicine's Department of Neurological Surgery, Lin’s goal is to improve and develop novel endovascular devices and techniques to help UCI Health patients with cerebrovascular disorders. She is the lead author of several publications.
