Yes. 00:00:29:18 - 00:00:30:06 Is that what. 00:00:30:06 - 00:00:31:10 That's kind of what you wake up and do 00:00:31:10 - 00:00:32:13 every day. That's the goal. 00:00:32:13 - 00:00:34:00 People want to party 00:00:34:00 - 00:00:35:05 and have their vacation, 00:00:35:05 - 00:00:37:02 and we want them not to get sick. 00:00:37:02 - 00:00:38:20 And listen, this is the time, right? 00:00:38:20 - 00:00:39:12 It's spring. 00:00:39:12 - 00:00:40:10 Weather's getting nicer. 00:00:40:10 - 00:00:41:04 It's getting warmer. 00:00:41:04 - 00:00:43:10 These are the gathering moments. Yes. Absolutely. 00:00:43:10 - 00:00:44:07 And so this is crucial. 00:00:44:07 - 00:00:44:23 This is like. 00:00:44:23 - 00:00:46:13 This is crunch time for you. 00:00:46:13 - 00:00:46:22 Yeah. 00:00:46:22 - 00:00:47:13 This is crunch 00:00:47:13 - 00:00:49:05 time for everyone who wants to have fun. 00:00:49:05 - 00:00:51:15 Yes. So all right, let's start with it. 00:00:51:15 - 00:00:53:13 Like our colds. 00:00:53:13 - 00:00:54:23 Something we need to worry about 00:00:54:23 - 00:00:55:20 in the summer. 00:00:55:20 - 00:00:56:18 Yes, they are. 00:00:56:18 - 00:00:56:23 You know, 00:00:56:23 - 00:00:59:08 unfortunately, colds are year round. 00:00:59:08 - 00:01:00:19 There are a number of colds 00:01:00:19 - 00:01:02:18 that particularly rhinovirus, 00:01:02:18 - 00:01:03:12 that are 00:01:03:12 - 00:01:05:19 happy to be everywhere all the time. 00:01:05:19 - 00:01:07:18 And even though we have more viruses 00:01:07:18 - 00:01:10:18 in the winter, like flu and RSV, 00:01:11:00 - 00:01:12:20 there are plenty of things 00:01:12:20 - 00:01:14:20 that keep us checked 00:01:14:20 - 00:01:16:07 in the spring, summer and fall. 00:01:16:07 - 00:01:19:01 Why don't we hear about them as often? 00:01:19:01 - 00:01:20:07 You know, like why? 00:01:20:07 - 00:01:21:17 Why do we always look at winter 00:01:21:17 - 00:01:24:00 and call it cold and flu season? 00:01:24:00 - 00:01:26:13 I think that's because people die. 00:01:26:13 - 00:01:26:19 You know, 00:01:26:19 - 00:01:28:01 I think people pay attention 00:01:28:01 - 00:01:29:22 when people get hospitalized 00:01:29:22 - 00:01:32:02 because the severity is particularly high 00:01:32:02 - 00:01:34:13 when someone has some irritating cold, 00:01:34:13 - 00:01:35:20 but they can still 00:01:35:20 - 00:01:37:06 go to school and go to work, 00:01:37:06 - 00:01:38:17 and they just have to blow their nose 00:01:38:17 - 00:01:39:12 a couple of times. 00:01:39:12 - 00:01:40:16 No one really pays 00:01:40:16 - 00:01:42:00 that much attention at something 00:01:42:00 - 00:01:43:20 everybody has experienced, 00:01:43:20 - 00:01:45:14 but it can really affect a vacation. 00:01:45:14 - 00:01:46:13 It can affect everything. 00:01:46:13 - 00:01:47:21 Listen, just on my drive here, 00:01:47:21 - 00:01:49:02 I was talking to my my girlfriend. 00:01:49:02 - 00:01:50:07 She has two kids. They’re 00:01:50:07 - 00:01:51:00 with their dad right now, 00:01:51:00 - 00:01:53:20 but he was taking them to urgent care 00:01:53:20 - 00:01:55:09 because she just got over the flu. 00:01:55:09 - 00:01:56:20 Both of them were starting to feel sick. 00:01:56:20 - 00:01:57:20 They had plans over 00:01:57:20 - 00:01:58:11 spring break, 00:01:58:11 - 00:02:00:09 and now they can't go to the plans 00:02:00:09 - 00:02:01:04 because the kids don't 00:02:01:04 - 00:02:02:03 want the other kids. 00:02:02:03 - 00:02:03:03 Because the parents can't 00:02:03:03 - 00:02:04:09 wait for the kids to go back to school, 00:02:04:09 - 00:02:06:00 get them out of the house next week. 00:02:06:00 - 00:02:07:16 They don't know if they're stuck at home. 00:02:07:16 - 00:02:09:19 Everyone. It's a whole chain reaction. 00:02:09:19 - 00:02:11:06 Yes, especially with kids. 00:02:11:06 - 00:02:11:21 Yeah, kids. 00:02:11:21 - 00:02:12:16 Kids can. 00:02:12:16 - 00:02:14:20 Little germ factories, these little things. 00:02:14:20 - 00:02:17:15 Every parent knows every child. 00:02:17:15 - 00:02:19:17 Once they enter a school or daycare. 00:02:19:17 - 00:02:22:02 You're 18 months of colds. Yes. 00:02:22:02 - 00:02:23:16 Back and forth and back and forth. Yes. 00:02:23:16 - 00:02:24:21 It's quite remarkable. 00:02:24:21 - 00:02:26:16 So. So how do we get ahead of it? 00:02:26:16 - 00:02:27:10 Let's start there. 00:02:27:10 - 00:02:28:08 Like, how do we 00:02:28:08 - 00:02:30:07 how can we prevent ourselves 00:02:30:07 - 00:02:31:19 from even being in a spot 00:02:31:19 - 00:02:34:01 where we're kind of passing this thing 00:02:34:01 - 00:02:35:06 back and forth? Yeah. 00:02:35:06 - 00:02:36:14 So maybe the best way to 00:02:36:14 - 00:02:37:15 put it in perspective, 00:02:37:15 - 00:02:39:11 because there's that every day 00:02:39:11 - 00:02:40:07 that can matter. 00:02:40:07 - 00:02:42:02 But let's put something around it, 00:02:42:02 - 00:02:45:01 like a vacation or a wedding or a 00:02:45:12 - 00:02:47:20 a birth of a new baby. 00:02:47:20 - 00:02:49:06 There are certain moments in our life 00:02:49:06 - 00:02:50:23 where we really, really care 00:02:50:23 - 00:02:52:05 that we don't get sick. 00:02:52:05 - 00:02:53:07 And so the first thing 00:02:53:07 - 00:02:53:19 to remember 00:02:53:19 - 00:02:57:11 is that viruses are human shed. 00:02:57:11 - 00:02:58:20 And so the most important thing 00:02:58:20 - 00:03:00:06 is not to be around other humans 00:03:00:06 - 00:03:01:15 who are actively sick. 00:03:01:15 - 00:03:04:00 And that's pretty important for the week 00:03:04:00 - 00:03:04:18 before you have 00:03:04:18 - 00:03:06:02 your really important event, 00:03:06:02 - 00:03:06:20 whatever that is. 00:03:06:20 - 00:03:07:21 You're going on vacation. 00:03:07:21 - 00:03:09:22 You're having a wedding that week 00:03:09:22 - 00:03:11:10 right before it's important 00:03:11:10 - 00:03:13:11 to put up your feelers 00:03:13:11 - 00:03:15:10 and make sure that you listen. 00:03:15:10 - 00:03:16:09 If people around 00:03:16:09 - 00:03:17:02 you are sick, 00:03:17:02 - 00:03:18:15 or if you are going to 00:03:18:15 - 00:03:19:22 have a meal with someone. 00:03:19:22 - 00:03:21:06 We need to understand that 00:03:21:06 - 00:03:23:01 the most likely people to get us 00:03:23:01 - 00:03:25:03 sick are our friends and family, 00:03:25:03 - 00:03:26:11 and we don't like to hear that, 00:03:26:11 - 00:03:27:14 and we don't like to tell them, 00:03:27:14 - 00:03:28:00 you know what? 00:03:28:00 - 00:03:28:16 Do you mind 00:03:28:16 - 00:03:30:14 if we don't have lunch this day? 00:03:30:14 - 00:03:31:15 Because it sounds like you're sick? 00:03:31:15 - 00:03:33:01 We don't like to say that 00:03:33:01 - 00:03:34:00 because they’re our friends 00:03:34:00 - 00:03:35:00 and they’re our family, 00:03:35:00 - 00:03:38:00 but we need to actually be attentive to 00:03:38:00 - 00:03:38:14 those things 00:03:38:14 - 00:03:39:17 a week before a really, 00:03:39:17 - 00:03:40:17 really important event. 00:03:40:17 - 00:03:42:10 That is interesting because I would feel 00:03:42:10 - 00:03:42:18 like I'd 00:03:42:18 - 00:03:44:00 be more inclined to be like, hey, 00:03:44:00 - 00:03:45:05 I'm leaving town for two weeks. 00:03:45:05 - 00:03:46:23 You want to get lunch before I go? Sure. 00:03:46:23 - 00:03:48:08 You know what I mean? Right. Right. 00:03:48:08 - 00:03:49:08 And it's not like you, 00:03:49:08 - 00:03:50:21 so sometimes you don't have a choice. 00:03:50:21 - 00:03:52:19 You need to take care of a parent 00:03:52:19 - 00:03:53:16 before you leave. 00:03:53:16 - 00:03:54:20 You need to do something. 00:03:54:20 - 00:03:56:03 And if that person is sick, 00:03:56:03 - 00:03:58:04 there are ways to protect yourself 00:03:58:04 - 00:03:59:03 and that person 00:03:59:03 - 00:04:00:06 if they are willing to wear a mask, 00:04:00:06 - 00:04:00:18 if you're willing. 00:04:00:18 - 00:04:02:20 I mean, we know these things now 00:04:02:20 - 00:04:04:02 and we know how to wear a mask. 00:04:04:02 - 00:04:05:03 We know how to clean our hands. 00:04:05:03 - 00:04:06:23 There are ways, absolute ways. 00:04:06:23 - 00:04:07:22 Doctors do it all the time. 00:04:07:22 - 00:04:08:20 We take care of patients 00:04:08:20 - 00:04:10:04 who are actively sick, 00:04:10:04 - 00:04:12:12 and we don't walk away sick. 00:04:12:12 - 00:04:14:00 So we know when to put a mask on 00:04:14:00 - 00:04:15:01 and when to clean our hands 00:04:15:01 - 00:04:16:10 and do all those things. So. 00:04:16:10 - 00:04:17:18 So why don't we then? 00:04:17:18 - 00:04:19:11 Because you say, 00:04:19:11 - 00:04:20:10 and that's a great point 00:04:20:10 - 00:04:21:07 you made about, 00:04:21:07 - 00:04:21:13 you know, 00:04:21:13 - 00:04:22:13 leading up to a vacation 00:04:22:13 - 00:04:23:11 or leading up to a wedding 00:04:23:11 - 00:04:24:16 or a life event or whatever 00:04:24:16 - 00:04:25:07 it is, 00:04:25:07 - 00:04:26:05 and you're like, okay, 00:04:26:05 - 00:04:27:03 so that week before 00:04:27:03 - 00:04:28:13 is the time to really get serious. 00:04:28:13 - 00:04:30:20 Why don't we just adapt and adopt 00:04:30:20 - 00:04:32:02 that mindset all year? 00:04:32:02 - 00:04:33:00 Why don't we just always do. 00:04:33:00 - 00:04:33:23 That could. Yes. 00:04:33:23 - 00:04:35:13 So you know, we don’t. Why don't we learn? 00:04:35:13 - 00:04:37:17 I think people get inured, you know. 00:04:37:17 - 00:04:38:19 Yeah. They just get tired. 00:04:38:19 - 00:04:40:22 And so it's easier for them to focus. 00:04:40:22 - 00:04:42:07 And I think it depends on 00:04:42:07 - 00:04:43:12 two major things. Okay. 00:04:43:12 - 00:04:45:02 How much does it really matter to you? 00:04:45:02 - 00:04:47:07 So a lot of people, weather colds fine 00:04:47:07 - 00:04:48:06 little kids 00:04:48:06 - 00:04:48:22 all the time 00:04:48:22 - 00:04:50:06 doesn't stop them from playing 00:04:50:06 - 00:04:50:23 and running around 00:04:50:23 - 00:04:52:01 and being rambunctious. 00:04:52:01 - 00:04:55:04 But grandparents... Yeah. It's a big deal. 00:04:55:04 - 00:04:56:01 It will wipe them out. 00:04:56:01 - 00:04:57:08 It'll ruin your vacation. 00:04:57:08 - 00:04:58:14 It will make 00:04:58:14 - 00:05:00:00 you have to take them to the hospital 00:05:00:00 - 00:05:00:21 some of the times. 00:05:00:21 - 00:05:04:04 And so I think that it it really depends 00:05:04:04 - 00:05:06:00 on having an event 00:05:06:00 - 00:05:07:06 that's really important to you 00:05:07:06 - 00:05:08:11 and thinking about the person 00:05:08:11 - 00:05:10:17 and how much it irritates them, 00:05:10:17 - 00:05:12:05 or could be hazardous to them 00:05:12:05 - 00:05:13:08 to actually have a cold. 00:05:13:08 - 00:05:14:20 And you mentioned something else 00:05:14:20 - 00:05:15:15 I want to go back to. 00:05:15:15 - 00:05:16:20 You said as doctors, 00:05:16:20 - 00:05:18:05 you're just you're constantly around 00:05:18:05 - 00:05:20:00 sick people, but you have figured out 00:05:20:00 - 00:05:22:00 you know what to do and you do it 00:05:22:00 - 00:05:24:00 well to come away never getting sick. 00:05:24:00 - 00:05:26:20 What how what how, why. 00:05:26:20 - 00:05:29:03 So viruses. It's pretty easy. 00:05:29:03 - 00:05:31:04 We know that these things pass 00:05:31:04 - 00:05:32:10 around in two major ways. 00:05:32:10 - 00:05:34:06 One, I sneeze or cough in your face. 00:05:34:06 - 00:05:35:13 Yes. Don’t do that. 00:05:35:13 - 00:05:38:08 And I touch something where a cold virus 00:05:38:08 - 00:05:40:04 has landed on some surface. Right. 00:05:40:04 - 00:05:42:18 And then I have it on my hands. 00:05:42:18 - 00:05:43:21 And then I rub my eyes, 00:05:43:21 - 00:05:45:17 I touch my nose and I eat. 00:05:45:17 - 00:05:47:14 I grab a bunch of chips 00:05:47:14 - 00:05:49:10 and in it goes into my mouth 00:05:49:10 - 00:05:50:07 with everything else. 00:05:50:07 - 00:05:52:09 So I think that what we learn is 00:05:52:09 - 00:05:53:19 where have our hands been? 00:05:53:19 - 00:05:55:04 Have I sanitized my hands 00:05:55:04 - 00:05:56:10 before I touch my face? 00:05:56:10 - 00:05:58:05 And if I know you are sick, 00:05:58:05 - 00:05:59:18 then I'm going to step away 00:05:59:18 - 00:06:01:01 or I'm going to mask. 00:06:01:01 - 00:06:02:07 And I'm certainly not going to 00:06:02:07 - 00:06:04:19 share a potluck with you. Yes. No. 00:06:04:19 - 00:06:05:06 So, you know. 00:06:05:06 - 00:06:07:06 But again, it's our friends and family. 00:06:07:06 - 00:06:09:15 It's very emotionally hard 00:06:09:15 - 00:06:11:15 to separate from them and to say, 00:06:11:15 - 00:06:12:04 you know what, I'm 00:06:12:04 - 00:06:14:02 really trying to stay healthy 00:06:14:02 - 00:06:15:12 before I go on this trip 00:06:15:12 - 00:06:17:08 or I have a wedding, can I 00:06:17:08 - 00:06:17:16 do you 00:06:17:16 - 00:06:19:08 mind, you know, putting on a mask 00:06:19:08 - 00:06:21:12 because it sounds like you're sick. Yeah. Or... 00:06:21:12 - 00:06:22:05 it's hard. 00:06:22:05 - 00:06:23:19 Listen, I years and years ago, 00:06:23:19 - 00:06:24:14 I would get sick 00:06:24:14 - 00:06:25:13 probably 2 or 3 times 00:06:25:13 - 00:06:26:02 a year, 00:06:26:02 - 00:06:28:12 and I went to an EMT and he told me 00:06:28:12 - 00:06:30:12 that the two most 00:06:30:12 - 00:06:32:00 the two worst things you can do 00:06:32:00 - 00:06:34:07 are to not wash your hands frequently 00:06:34:07 - 00:06:35:08 and to touch your face. 00:06:35:08 - 00:06:37:16 And ever since I left that office, 00:06:37:16 - 00:06:39:09 I swear to you, I never got Covid. 00:06:39:09 - 00:06:40:16 I've never had the flu. 00:06:40:16 - 00:06:41:23 I lived, you know, 00:06:41:23 - 00:06:43:18 I again, I live with my girlfriend. 00:06:43:18 - 00:06:44:19 She has the flu. I didn't get it. 00:06:44:19 - 00:06:46:17 I don't get sick because I'm constantly 00:06:46:17 - 00:06:47:22 doing those those two things. 00:06:47:22 - 00:06:49:13 Being thoughtful about it. Yes. Yeah. 00:06:49:13 - 00:06:50:16 It's a mindfulness. 00:06:50:16 - 00:06:51:14 It's a mindfulness. 00:06:51:14 - 00:06:53:09 And I feel like it's our superpower now. 00:06:53:09 - 00:06:54:08 You know, after Covid, 00:06:54:08 - 00:06:54:22 most of us 00:06:54:22 - 00:06:56:18 all of a sudden can hear someone 00:06:56:18 - 00:06:58:10 coughing and sneezing around us. 00:06:58:10 - 00:07:00:01 We didn't always 00:07:00:01 - 00:07:00:23 we weren't always that 00:07:00:23 - 00:07:02:09 attentive in the past. Yeah. 00:07:02:09 - 00:07:03:12 So now we know. 00:07:03:12 - 00:07:04:20 So now, in those moments, 00:07:04:20 - 00:07:06:10 you should act differently 00:07:06:10 - 00:07:07:13 when someone around you 00:07:07:13 - 00:07:09:18 is actively sick. Yeah. Congested. 00:07:09:18 - 00:07:14:00 Why don't we build immunity to the cold? 00:07:14:08 - 00:07:15:14 So we do. 00:07:15:14 - 00:07:16:02 We do. 00:07:16:02 - 00:07:17:01 What's remarkable 00:07:17:01 - 00:07:20:04 is that there are about 200 cold viruses. 00:07:20:09 - 00:07:21:15 So at any given moment, 00:07:21:15 - 00:07:23:01 if I just had a cold, 00:07:23:01 - 00:07:24:12 then I do have some immunity 00:07:24:12 - 00:07:26:16 to that particular virus. 00:07:26:16 - 00:07:28:18 So that might be for a handful of months, 00:07:28:18 - 00:07:29:20 up to a year, 00:07:29:20 - 00:07:31:06 but there are 199 00:07:31:06 - 00:07:32:15 other viruses that can get me. 00:07:32:15 - 00:07:33:08 And that's why 00:07:33:08 - 00:07:35:16 we all have experienced back to back 00:07:35:16 - 00:07:37:01 colds. Yeah. 00:07:37:01 - 00:07:39:11 So unfortunately we have some immunity, 00:07:39:11 - 00:07:42:02 but there's too many of them. Okay. 00:07:42:02 - 00:07:44:17 So let's let's parlay that into travel 00:07:44:17 - 00:07:45:18 because that's you know, 00:07:45:18 - 00:07:47:01 this is again travel season. 00:07:47:01 - 00:07:48:09 We're on an airplane. 00:07:48:09 - 00:07:48:14 You know 00:07:48:14 - 00:07:50:10 you just said there's so many colds I'm 00:07:50:10 - 00:07:51:23 guessing that people on planes are sick. 00:07:51:23 - 00:07:52:21 They may not even know it, 00:07:52:21 - 00:07:53:20 but that's a bunch of different 00:07:53:20 - 00:07:54:15 cold things happen. 00:07:54:15 - 00:07:55:10 How do we 00:07:55:10 - 00:07:57:03 how do you handle being on an airplane? 00:07:57:03 - 00:07:57:09 Right. 00:07:57:09 - 00:07:59:09 Or an airport. Right, or an airport. 00:07:59:09 - 00:08:01:10 So you've managed to be 00:08:01:10 - 00:08:02:08 be healthy for the week 00:08:02:08 - 00:08:03:16 before you go on vacation. 00:08:03:16 - 00:08:04:21 And now here you go 00:08:04:21 - 00:08:06:22 into a train station, bus station, 00:08:06:22 - 00:08:08:06 you know, airport terminal. 00:08:08:06 - 00:08:09:11 And and there are 00:08:09:11 - 00:08:10:19 tons of people around you. 00:08:10:19 - 00:08:12:03 So there's two different things 00:08:12:03 - 00:08:13:10 to think about. 00:08:13:10 - 00:08:14:12 Again, you want to protect yourself 00:08:14:12 - 00:08:15:16 because you're about to go 00:08:15:16 - 00:08:17:12 on this best vacation of your life, 00:08:17:12 - 00:08:19:03 but there are tons of people around you. 00:08:19:03 - 00:08:19:23 So again, 00:08:19:23 - 00:08:20:16 you're thinking, 00:08:20:16 - 00:08:21:10 if you're in a line 00:08:21:10 - 00:08:22:08 and you can't move 00:08:22:08 - 00:08:23:09 and the person behind you 00:08:23:09 - 00:08:25:21 is coughing all over you sneezing, 00:08:25:21 - 00:08:28:21 that's when you should have a mask handy. 00:08:29:04 - 00:08:29:16 So, you know, 00:08:29:16 - 00:08:31:14 it's not something we used to do, 00:08:31:14 - 00:08:33:00 but it's easy to carry. 00:08:33:00 - 00:08:34:02 It doesn't mean you have to wear it 00:08:34:02 - 00:08:36:01 all the time. You are listening, 00:08:36:01 - 00:08:37:11 and if someone around you is sick, 00:08:37:11 - 00:08:38:07 you put on a mask 00:08:38:07 - 00:08:39:01 because you can't really 00:08:39:01 - 00:08:41:21 tell them or force them to put on a mask. 00:08:41:21 - 00:08:43:01 It means you can take it off 00:08:43:01 - 00:08:45:07 as soon as that moment has passed. 00:08:45:07 - 00:08:46:08 But carrying one with you 00:08:46:08 - 00:08:47:21 is particularly smart or backing away. 00:08:47:21 - 00:08:49:02 But if you're in a line 00:08:49:02 - 00:08:50:05 going through TSA, 00:08:50:05 - 00:08:52:09 you can't really back away. 00:08:52:09 - 00:08:53:01 Cleaning your hands, 00:08:53:01 - 00:08:53:23 having a little bit of hand 00:08:53:23 - 00:08:55:05 sanitizer with you. 00:08:55:05 - 00:08:56:08 You're in an airport 00:08:56:08 - 00:08:57:14 where you're touching surfaces 00:08:57:14 - 00:09:00:04 that probably 100 people have touched in. 00:09:00:04 - 00:09:01:15 The past. In the past hour, 00:09:01:15 - 00:09:03:17 you know what I mean? Doorknobs. 00:09:03:17 - 00:09:05:17 Door handles. Yes. Right. 00:29:51:18 - 00:29:53:02 So by the time you have a fever, 00:29:53:02 - 00:29:54:19 yes, you're going to be pretty much 00:29:54:19 - 00:29:56:13 at the peak of your illness. 00:29:56:13 - 00:29:57:14 And you want to make sure 00:29:57:14 - 00:29:58:13 that you are not around 00:29:58:13 - 00:29:59:20 other people that you can give it to. 00:29:59:20 - 00:30:02:04 However, you are also very heavily 00:30:02:04 - 00:30:03:23 contagious before that fever occurs. 00:30:03:23 - 00:30:05:13 So one of the things that we know 00:30:05:13 - 00:30:07:08 is these viruses in our nose 00:30:07:08 - 00:30:08:00 and our mouth, 00:30:08:00 - 00:30:09:18 they are replicating at a very, 00:30:09:18 - 00:30:11:01 very fast pace. 00:30:11:01 - 00:30:12:17 And so when you first start to 00:30:12:17 - 00:30:14:06 have the sniffles, 00:30:14:06 - 00:30:15:13 you first start to have that, 00:30:15:13 - 00:30:17:23 that runny nose, the sneezing. 00:30:17:23 - 00:30:19:00 That is when you are 00:30:19:00 - 00:30:20:14 highly, highly contagious 00:30:20:14 - 00:30:22:04 at the very outset. 00:30:22:04 - 00:30:24:12 That beginning phase is a very, 00:30:24:12 - 00:30:26:04 very easy way to spread it 00:30:26:04 - 00:30:27:19 to, to other people. 00:30:27:19 - 00:30:29:14 So after the fever has passed, 00:30:29:14 - 00:30:32:07 generally, they say a day after, 24 hours 00:30:32:07 - 00:30:33:14 after the fever is gone. 00:30:33:14 - 00:30:36:12 You're pretty much in good containment, 00:30:36:12 - 00:30:37:21 and it doesn't mean that you're at zero. 00:30:37:21 - 00:30:39:17 So if you had a highly immunocompromised 00:30:39:17 - 00:30:41:01 individual around you, 00:30:41:01 - 00:30:42:12 you could still spread it to them. 00:30:42:12 - 00:30:44:15 But for the vast majority of humans, 00:30:44:15 - 00:30:46:22 you are well contained. 00:30:46:22 - 00:30:47:12 And that's why 00:30:47:12 - 00:30:48:18 they let you back into school 00:30:48:18 - 00:30:49:12 and they tell you it's 00:30:49:12 - 00:30:50:12 now you're usually feeling 00:30:50:12 - 00:30:52:03 well enough to come back to work. 00:30:52:03 - 00:30:54:23 But early colds, early flu, 00:30:54:23 - 00:30:56:08 all of those things. 00:30:56:08 - 00:30:58:01 You're pretty contagious.
