For the 22nd consecutive year, UCI Medical Center has been recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report.
The annual rankings recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging health conditions. This year, the report highlights the excellence of UCI Health programs in obstetrics and gynecology, No. 24; and geriatrics, No. 42, and cancer, No. 46 among similar programs nationally. The medical center is ranked No. 6 in the Los Angeles metropolitan region and 13th in California.
In addition, UCI Health programs in gastroenterology (GI) and GI surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics, pulmonology and lung surgery, and urology are rated as high performing.
For more than two decades, UCI Medical Center is the only Orange County hospital consistently rated among America’s best by U.S. News. The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 33rd year, are designed to assist patients and their doctors in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions or for common elective procedures.
