Nationally certified ostomy nurses teach and support this class.
Topics include:
- Types of ostomies
- Health and medical conditions that result in having an ostomy
- Basic ostomy care
We will introduce you to the “The Ostomate Bill of Rights” from the United Ostomy Association of America. You will also learn what valuable resources and services are available to you.
People with ostomies, or those planning to have an ostomy, and your families, caregivers and support people are encouraged to come to class with you or for you.
