Dr. Ashley A. Sandoval is a board-certified UCI Health allergist and immunologist who treats both adults and children.
Her clinical interests include allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, hives, contact dermatitis, eczema, asthma, allergies to insect stings, food and drug allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis and immunodeficiency disorders. She offers allergy skin prick and patch testing, as well as shots to relieve allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, allergic asthma and eczema.
Sandoval earned her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. She completed her residency in pediatrics at CHOC Children's Hospital of Orange County and the UCI School of Medicine, where she also completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric allergy and immunology. Between her residency and fellowship, she practiced general pediatrics at Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center and The Children's Clinic Family Health Center in Long Beach.
Her research interests include contact dermatitis, chronic urticaria (hives), food allergies triggered by the immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody as well as food allergies that mainly affect the gastrointestinal tract.
When she's not seeing patients, Sandoval enjoys playing monster trucks with her son.
