She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, N.Y., followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix.
