The UCI Health — Irvine Rehabilitation Hospital is now open and serving patients throughout Orange County and the surrounding region with compassionate, coordinated inpatient care that sets the stage for optimal recovery.
This 52-bed, 68,000-square-foot facility, which has been developed through a joint venture partnership with Lifepoint Rehabilitation, provides specialized inpatient rehabilitation for patients recovering from:
- Spinal cord injury
- Stroke
- Surgery
- Traumatic brain injury
- Joint replacement
- Orthopaedic injury
- Amputation
- Other serious illnesses affecting mobility and independence

This four-story, state-of-the-art building is home to the latest therapies and technologies designed to help patients regain their independence and return home, including a:
- Specialized brain and spinal cord injury unit
- Living skills suite to practice daily activities, such as brushing teeth
- Spacious 3,985-square-foot gym for interdisciplinary therapy
- Mock car to practice vehicle entry and exit
- Therapeutic courtyard equipped for golf, gardening and other outdoor activities
- Working kitchen to practice culinary skills

- Occupational therapist to assist with everyday living skills
