Dr. Jin K. Kim is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in heart disease and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging. Her clinical interests include women's heart health and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) to correct aortic stenosis.

Kim earned her medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in Rochester, NY. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at UC Irvine Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, also at UC Irvine.

Her research interests include a focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of heart protection under stress, and how estrogen promotes overall heart functioning and protects the main cardiac cells, called cardiomyocytes.

Kim sees patients at UC Irvine Medical Center's Cardiovascular Center in Orange and at Gottschalk Medical Plaza in Irvine.
