Dr. Sonia Lee is a board-certified UCI Health radiologist who specializes in abdominal imaging and ultrasound, nuclear medicine and musculoskeletal imaging.

Her clinical interests include cancer imaging with emphasis on gastrointestinal neoplasms and rectal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). She also has expertise in hepatobiliary, pancreas and gynecologic imaging, as well as scans for inflammatory bowel disease and other intestinal conditions.

She earned her medical degree at the Catholic University of Korea College of Medicine in Seoul. She completed a residency in radiology with the Aultman/Mercy/NEOMED program at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio, followed by fellowship training in abdominal imaging, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and musculoskeletal radiology at UC San Francisco Medical Center.

Lee has published several peer-reviewed research papers in her field and presented her work at national and international conferences. She sees patients at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
