More Information

Dr. Ali A. Naqvi is a UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

He works closely with patients to manage conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm abnormalities and heart failure. His clinical interests include cardiac imaging — specifically echocardiography and nuclear imaging — as well as cardio-oncology and heart disease prevention.

He earned a combined medical degree and master's degree in public health from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at UCI Medical Center, where he also completed fellowship training in cardiovascular disease.

Throughout his training, Naqvi has served in various leadership positions, including chief resident and the cardiology program's Fellow-in-Training (FIT) representative to the American College of Cardiology.

He believes in taking a holistic approach to patient care, treating and educating them about their disease but also addressing its emotional toll. His passion is to make a positive impact on the lives of others and he strives to improve the quality of care he gives each patient.

Naqvi, who also speaks Hindi and Urdu, sees patients at UCI Health — Irvine, Gottschalk Medical Plaza, Orange and Laguna Hills.
