Dr. Uttam Reddy is a board-certified nephrologist and internist who sees patients at the UC Irvine Medical Center. His clinical interests include kidney transplantation, donor specific antibodies, personalized medicine in immunosuppression and demographic and social aspects in patient education. He currently serves as the medical director for the UCI Health Kidney Transplant Program.
Reddy earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. followed by a residency in internal medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, Calif., where he also completed a fellowship in nephrology. Reddy also completed a renal transplant fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
Reddy's passion is in transplantation and his goal is to build and grow the Kidney Transplant Program at UC Irvine to better serve the residents of Orange County who are facing end stage kidney disease.
He is currently involved in a FDA funded research project looking at generic and brand immunosuppressive medications.
