Parkinson's disease expert discusses its impact, Robin Williams diagnosis

IN THE NEWS: Dr. Neal Hermanowicz, clinical professor of neurology and director of the UCI Health Movement Disorders Program,  appears tonight on the PBS program “Studio SoCal.”

In light of news that Robin Williams was in the early stages of Parkinson’s disease, Hermanowicz will discuss the disease’s impact on patients and families, and the latest advances to treat the incurable neurological disorder.

“Studio SoCal” airs at 7 p.m. tonight, Aug. 15, on SoCal PBS, KOCE-50. The show will be rebroadcast at 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20.
