Fussell earned his medical degree at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Columbia Presbyterian University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neuroradiology at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York.
