Assistant Professor — Department of Ophthalmology, UCI School of Medicine
Dr. Charlotte Gore is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and treating strabismus (eye misalignment) in children and adults. Her clinical interests also include treating children for such eye conditions as amblyopia (often called lazy eye) and congenital cataracts.
Gore earned her medical degree at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she completed an ophthalmology residency. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus with Harvard Medical School at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Building on her experience treating complex strabismus and using adjustable sutures, Gore conducts research to understand nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movements) and explore novel treatments for strabismus.
She sees patients at UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute in Irvine and UCI Medical Center in Orange.
