Dr. Charlotte Gore is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and the treatment of strabismus (eye misalignment) in children and adults. Her clinical interests include treating children for such eye conditions as amblyopia (often called lazy eye) and congenital cataracts.
She earned her medical degree at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she completed a residency in ophthalmology at the Shiley Eye Institute. Next she received fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Building on her experience treating complex strabismus and using adjustable sutures, Gore conducts research to understand nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movements) and explore novel treatments for strabismus. She is the author or co-author of several research papers that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals.
Gore, who speaks Mandarin, sees patients in Irvine and Orange.
