Dr. Linda Doan is a board-certified UCI Health dermatologist and dermatopathologist whose clinical interests include pigmented lesions, skin cancers, adverse cutaneous drug reactions, tropical (travel) dermatology and sports dermatology.
Doan earned her medical degree at UCI School of Medicine and a PhD in developmental and cell biology at the UCI School of Biological Sciences. She completed an internal medicine internship at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington, Mass., and a residency in dermatology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a dermatopathology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Doan specializes in diagnosing inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases by studying skin diseases at the microscopic and molecular levels. Her specific interests include melanomas, non-melanoma skin cancers and adverse cutaneous drug reactions.
Doan has published several research papers and has given talks around the country on both dermatology and dermatopathology. She also speaks Vietnamese and Spanish.
Doan sees patients at the UCI Health Dermatology Center at Gottschalk Medical Plaza on the university campus in Irvine.
