Dr. Charlotte Gore is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and treating strabismus (eye misalignment) in children and adults. Gore’s clinical interests also include treating children for eye conditions such as amblyopia (often called lazy eye) and congenital cataracts.
Gore earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego, where she completed an ophthalmology residency. She also completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Building on her experience treating complex strabismus and using adjustable sutures, Gore’s research interests include understanding nystagmus (involuntary rapid eye movements) and exploring novel treatments for strabismus. She sees patients at UCI Health Gavin Herbert Eye Institute in Irvine and at UC Irvine Medical Center’s Pavilion 2 in Orange.
