UCI Health Weight Management Program helps man lose 200 pounds

IN THE NEWS: 64-year-old Michael Bare tells OC Register about his journey to lose 225 pounds in four years through the help of the UCI Health Weight Management Program. Bare and his wife, Lorna Wimberly, 63, choose the weight management program because, "it focuses on overall lifestyle changes."

The couple incorporates physical activity into their daily routine now, which includes cycling, walking to buy groceries, and attending classes at the weight management center.

Program director Katie Rankell says, "Michael was our first patient to lose 200 pounds. We had to custom-make a milestone pin for him."
