Dr. Michael A. Daneshvar is a fellowship-trained UCI Health urologist who specializes in robot-assisted and open surgery for cancers of the bladder, kidney, penis, prostate, testes and ureter.
His clinical interests also include enlarged prostate, elevated PSA levels, adrenal tumors and retroperitoneal cancer.
Daneshvar earned his medical degree from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Illinois. He completed an internship in general surgery followed by a residency in urology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He next completed a fellowship in urologic oncology at the National Cancer Institute and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md.
His research interests include hereditary diseases and genomic alterations in genitourinary cancer, novel imaging techniques, focal therapy and ablation of prostate cancer. He is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed publications.
Daneshvar — who speaks Spanish, Farsi and Hebrew — sees patients in Orange and Newport Beach.
