Wellness Ambassadors

Wellness ambassadors are volunteer employee representatives who care about their personal health and the health of others. They serve as a wellness resource by carrying wellness messages, education and activities to their coworkers.

Wellness ambassador requirements

  • Passionate about well-being
  • Bring the UCI Health Worklife & Wellness Program to life
  • Encouraging and enjoy helping others succeed
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and fun-spirited
  • Commit to up to one hour per month; a one-year commitment is preferred

Roles and responsibilities

Wellness ambassadors support strategic health improvement initiatives such as:

  • Using provided tools and tip sheets to deliver information to provide education or promote programs and events
  • Developing grassroots initiatives in work unit that are in alignment with university health-focused areas (for example, using bulletin boards, develop a healthy potluck day, schedule an activity, organize lunch time walks or activity bursts)
