UCI Health ear, nose and throat specialists evaluate patients at three facilities in Orange County.
Our state-of-the-art examination rooms are equipped with microscopes for advanced detection of ear disease, ultrasound for detection and monitoring of cancer and thyroid conditions, as well as high-definition imaging for diagnosing and treating sinus, voice and swallowing disorders.
Our specialists also are experts in minimally invasive skull base surgery, using a purely endoscopic approach.
When surgery is necessary, procedures take place in UCI Medical Center’s modern operating rooms. Should an overnight stay be required, most of our patient suites are private and equipped with built-in beds for loved ones.

- Our head and neck cancer experts are nationally known for their expertise, as are our hearing specialists.
- Our clinical excellence is driven by leading-edge research, which has led our otolaryngologists to rank among the top 25 in the country for funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- We have a vibrant balance and hearing research group, and we collaborate closely with the UCI Health Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic on improving optical imaging and soft tissue engineering.
Our team of board-certified physicians, led by Dr. William B. Armstrong, also trains other physicians in the latest techniques and procedures of our subspecialties, with a goal of improving the level of clinical practice by all our colleagues in the region.
Above all, we strive to provide the most advanced, compassionate care that is especially tailored for you.
