UCI Health provides a guest shuttle to transport patients and visitors throughout UC Irvine Medical Center.
The shuttle operates Monday–Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The shuttle makes the following routine stops:
- The visitor parking structure
- The cancer center
- The west entrance to UC Irvine Douglas Hospital near Chapman Avenue
- Pavilion Way
- The east entrance to the Neuropsychiatric Center on Tower Road
- Outside the Emergency Department on Tower Road
If you are admitted to the hospital for one night or more, park in the patient/visitor structure on Dawn Way, if possible. Parking is $2 for patients with validations.
If you have to park elsewhere, we suggest having a friend or family member move your car for you. If this is not possible, contact the Parking and Transportation Services Office at 714-456-5636.
Parking stalls for patients and visitors with valid disabled parking placards issued by the State of California are located throughout UC Irvine Medical Center (noted on the map above). Disabled patients and visitors may also park in the patient/visitor parking structure on Dawn Way and exit without charge by showing the attendant a valid disabled placard. Your disabled placard must be displayed to park in a disabled parking stall.
Patients and visitors with special parking needs, such as motor home parking, should contact Parking and Transportation Services at 714-456-5636. We will make every effort to assist you.
Visitors of patients who are in the hospital for a week or longer may wish to purchase a weekly pass for the patient/visitor structure on Dawn Way. Passes cost $30 per week and may be purchased in the parking office or the parking kiosk in the patient/visitor parking structure. The passes allow unlimited entries and exits to the structure.

Vehicles cited on UC Irvine Medical Center property are in violation of UCI Health parking regulations or other sections of the California Vehicle Code as described.
Failure to pay or contest a parking violation within 21 days of issuance will cause notification to the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The DMV will block future registration until the citation has been cleared. Any vehicle with five or more outstanding violation notices may be impounded by immobilization devices and/or towed (CVC 21113a and CVC 22651). Any vehicle impounded will be held until all fines, registration and/or impoundment fees are paid.
Citations will be processed immediately and the indicated bail is required, except when issued as a courtesy notice.

Citation dismissal policy
The citation dismissal policy is as follows:
No valid permit
Current permit 1st offense
Current permit 2nd offense
Disabled person’s space
No visible placard 1st offense
No visible placard 2nd offense
Note: No other type of violation will be dismissed outright. Permit holders will always be given their right to appeal a citation issued by UCI Health Parking Services. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered during the appeals process.
For patients and visitors, “no permit” violations will be dismissed after verification of your medical visit or appointment. All other types of citations and extenuating circumstances will be considered during the appeals process.
After the first “no permit” violation in a 12-month period, the customer will be given the option of purchasing a daily permit in lieu of a citation. All other citations will be considered during the appeals process. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered during the appeals process.
The registered owner, lessee or renter is required to pay the amount in the citation within 21 days of issuance. Payments received after 21 days will be assessed a delinquent penalty double the amount of the citation.
If the citation is forwarded to the DMV for a hold on the vehicle's registration, an additional $20 fee will apply.

A courtesy notice is issued when a customer does not have the funds to pay the parking fee when exiting the parking structure on Dawn Way. If you received a courtesy notice, pay the parking fee by mail using the accompanying envelope. If you are a patient and received validation from the department you were visiting, call 714-456-5636.
Parking and Transportation Services offers a variety of vehicle services to assist our patients and visitors, including jump starts, tire sealant and the use of a gas can. Service limitations may apply. For details, call 714-456-5636.
Weekly visitor permit

Over-sized vehicle parking
Over-sized vehicle parking is for guests only. It is located on the first floor of the south parking structure.
Motor home/RV and trailer parking
Motor home, RV and trailer parking is available per Parking and Transportation Services management approval. For information, call Parking Services at 714-456-5636, Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jump starts for stalled vehicles are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For service, call Police Dispatch at 714-456-5493.

Patients in need of assistance relocating their vehicles may call Parking and Transportation Services at 714-456-5636, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
