Non-OSHPD Central Chiller Plant/Electrical Plant

This project will construct a new ground up central plant that will contain a chilled water plant for central cooling and normal & emergency power equipment in an adjacent yard. The project will add one (1) 1,000 ton centrifugal chiller with an integral VFD, two (2) variable speed chilled water pumps and two (2) variable speed condenser water pumps. A 2,000 kW generator will be installed with accommodation for three (3) additional 2,000 kW future generators. Emergency switchgear section will contain new 12 kV generator controls and circuit breaker sections to support the generator, new 12 kV output distribution circuit breakers and bussed space for three (3) future generators.

OSHPD Central Chiller Plant Expansion/Emergency Power Upgrades

This project constructs a new ground up chiller plant building in the footprint of the existing plant with two (2) new 1500 ton chillers and infrastructure for a future 1500 ton chiller, for a total capacity of 4500 tons. New supply and return chilled water lines will be constructed to connect two other inpatient buildings (Buildings 1A & 3) to the expanded chilled water system. The project will include the installation of 1,500 Kw generator, 12 kV equipment branch feeder, transfer switches and associated electrical distribution.
