To test different dietary approaches for weight loss and improvement of cardiometabolic health
Adults, aged 25-65 years with a plus-sized waist, no major chronic diseases, willing to incorporate a dietary approach into daily habits aimed at improving cardiometabolic health and losing weight
Two one-hour visits and two half-hour visits with a registered dietitian for dietary counseling; two 20-minute visits to collect clinical data (weight, blood pressure, blood draw). Trial has a one-week run in period to monitor usual habits and inform registered dietitian sessions, and an eight-week active period when counseling sessions occur and data is collected.
