Dr. David So is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon at UCI Health Hip & Knee Surgery Services. 

So specializes in joint replacement for the treatment of knee and hip arthritis. He also treats patients with meniscal injuries of the knee, tears of the patellar and quad tendons, avascular necrosis of the hip, fractures of the proximal femur, infections of knee and hip replacements and fractures around joint replacements.

His research interests include periprosthetic joint infections and risk factors associated with the failure of two-stage reimplantation procedures, as well as hip/spine relations pertaining to the optimal position of the acetabular cup.
