Anastasia P. Chumakova, MD

Dr. Anastasia Chumakova is a board-certified UCI neurologist who specializes in neuroimmunology/multiple sclerosis.
Her clinical interests include CNS demyelinating diseases and autoimmune conditions affecting the central nervous system. Her research interests include blood-biomarkers in neuroimmunology, rare neuroimmunological conditions, novel treatments for acute neuroimmune exacerbations and safety of disease modifying treatments.
She earned her medical degree magna cum laude from Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia. She completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at Learner Research Institute at Cleveland Clinic. She completed her medicine internship, neurology residency and neuroimmunology fellowship at UC Irvine School of Medicine, where she now serves as faculty.
Chumakova is dedicated to delivering attentive and compassionate care to her patients.
