He earned his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Saint Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, followed by fellowships in emergency medicine ultrasound and emergency medicine simulation at UC Irvine School of Medicine.
