He earned his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed residencies in diagnostic radiology at West Virginia University Hospital and the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, followed by a residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
