Fuki M. Hisama, MD
Medical Genetics
Dr. Fuki Marie Hisama is a dual-board certified UCI specialist in clinical genetics and neurology who cares for patients and families with or at risk genetic conditions.
Her clinical interests include neurogenetics, cardiac genetics, cancer genetics and rare diseases. Her research interests are in precision medicine and undiagnosed rare diseases.
Hisama earned her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago. She completed her internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, her residency in Neurology at Yale New Haven Hospital and her clinical and research fellowships in clinical and human genetics at Yale University.
She has worked at Yale, Boston Children's Hospital and UW Medicine in Seattle. She was selected a Top Doctor by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met Magazine prior to joining UCI Health.
