Dr. Ismail H. Kasimoglu is a board-certified UCI Health endocrinologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, lipid disorders, obesity, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, osteoporosis and other conditions of the endocrinology system.
He earned his medical degree from the UC Irvine School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology, also at the UC Irvine School of Medicine. He also holds a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, Master of Science in electrical and computer engineering as well as MBA, all from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
Kasimoglu has written abstracts and performed clinical research in general endocrinology and has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on topics including endocrinology, biomedical technology, medical education, emergency medicine and hospital medicine. He has performed research in ultrasound technology and designed a novel high-frequency ultrasound software and hardware system.
