He earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. He completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute in Edison, N.J., followed by a fellowship in cancer rehabilitation at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
