Liam Ghiam, MD
Radiation Oncology
Dr. Liam Ghiam is an American and Canadian board-certified UCI Health radiation oncologist. He treats all types of cancer, specializing in head and neck cancers, genitourinary malignancies and metastatic disease.
He completed an MSc in Molecular Biology at the University of Montreal, followed by residency and fellowship training at the University of Toronto. Before joining UCI Health, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania and later an Associate Professor at Stanford University, earning multiple awards for clinical excellence and education. He has received prestigious awards from ASTRO and CARO.
He incorporates a holistic care philosophy in cancer care and, when appropriate, guides patients toward integrative medicine resources. He is passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to a broad spectrum of patients. His research focuses on using AI-based systems to personalize treatment, reduce toxicity and improve access to high-quality cancer care.
