Michael G. Kim, MD

Dr. Michael G. Kim is a board-certified, fellowship-trained UCI Health neurosurgeon who specializes in cerebrovascular, neuro-oncologic, skull base and minimally invasive endoscopic surgeries.

He earned his medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, R.I. He completed a residency in neurological surgery at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y. He then completed a fellowship in skull base microneurosurgery at the Surgical Innovations Lab at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York and a fellowship in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.

His research interests are in the management and treatment of brain tumors, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations and skull base pathologies. He has authored numerous research papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves on committees in the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Skull Base Society.
