
Stacey J. Howell, MD

Dr. Stacey J. Howell is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who specializes in heart rhythm disorders. Her expertise includes performing catheter ablation and implanting pacemakers and defibrillators to treat abnormal heart rhythms including atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular contractions and ventricular tachycardia.
Howell earned her medical degree and completed internal medicine residency at University of California Davis in her hometown of Sacramento. She completed cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University where she was Chief Cardiology Fellow and a finalist for the Heart Rhythm Society Young Investigator Award in 2020. She completed her cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at University of California San Francisco where she was awarded departmental teaching awards.
She serves as a committee member for the Heart Rhythm Society Health Equity Council since 2023. She was selected for Heart Rhythm Society’s Growth and Leadership Opportunity for Women in Electrophysiology Program for 2022-2023.
