Dr. Lilangi Ediriwickrema is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery, neuro-ophthalmology and orbital disease.
She received her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine. She completed an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and a residency in ophthalmology at USC, where she was chief resident. She also completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Johns Hopkins University’s Wilmer Eye Institute, followed by an ASOPRS fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego.
Ediriwickrema's translational research interests include validating biomarkers of periocular disease, and she serves on national committees for the AAO, ASOPRS and NANOS. She has been listed as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly as well as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association.
