Dr. Deepa Jeyakumar is a board-certified UCI Health hematologist-oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, bone marrow transplantation and stem-cell therapy. Her clinical focus is on treating patients with leukemias, lymphomas, myelodysplastic syndromes and myelomas.

Jeyakumar earned her medical degree at Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, followed by a fellowships in hematology/oncology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Mass., and bone marrow transplantation at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

She is the author or co-author of numerous publications, posters and abstracts, as well as a chapter on acute myelogenous leukemia in a leading book on care for cancer survivors.
