Dr. Jin Kyung Kim is a board-certified UCI Health cardiologist who specializes in heart disease and noninvasive cardiovascular imaging. Her clinical interests include women's heart health and valvular and structural heart disease, including aortic stenosis.

Kim earned her medical degree as well as a doctoral degree in biochemistry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry in Rochester, NY. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at UCI Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease, also at UCI Health.

Her research interests include a focus on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of heart protection under stress, and how estrogen promotes overall heart functioning and protects the main cardiac cells, called cardiomyocytes.

Kim, who is fluent in Korean, sees patients in Orange and Newport Beach.
