Dr. Xiao-Tang Kong is a board-certified UCI Health specialist in the diagnosis and management of primary and metastatic tumors of the brain and spinal cord, as well as treating neurological complications from the cancers. She is also a neuro-oncology hospitalist who ensures continuity of care for patients during their hospitalization.

Kong earned her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in neurology at UC Irvine Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neuro-oncology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She also received her doctoral degrees from the University of Tokyo, Japan and Capital University of Medical Science in Beijing, China.

Kong is also deeply involved in enrolling and managing clinical trials for brain and spinal cord tumors.
