Dr. Mahra Nourbakhsh is a board-certified, fellowship-trained UCI Health pathologist who specializes in anatomic pathology, cytopathology and the pathology of gastrointestinal and liver diseases.

Nourbakhsh earned his medical degree at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Isfahan, Iran. He completed residencies in anatomic pathology at the University of Alberta in Edmunton, Canada, and the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Canada. Next he completed a cytopathology fellowship at UCI Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in gastrointestinal and liver pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

His practice location is at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
