She earned her medical degree at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, N.J. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in child abuse pediatrics at University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
