Our Services
In-lab sleep studies
We provide studies at our state-of-the-art sleep lab in Newport Beach. When your physician orders an in-lab sleep study, it is scheduled either overnight or for an 8- to-10-hour period during the day.
Sleep studies are painless, non-invasive and conducted in private rooms under the supervision of a trained, licensed professional.
At-home sleep studies
If you are eligible for a home sleep study, we will provide the necessary equipment.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBTi)
Behavioral changes, such as having a regular bedtime and avoiding naps, can help reduce fears and stress around sleeping.
Treatment plan
The information obtained from your sleep study and discussions with your sleep specialists help us develop a treatment plan to optimize your respond to therapy. For sleep apnea, this may include positive airway pressure (PAP) or alternative to PAP therapy with devices like mandibular advancement devices, hypoglossal nerve stimulator, etc.
Your Visit
What to expect from your initial consultation appointment:
A consultation is an office visit with one of our sleep medicine physicians. Your doctor will review your medical history and sleep questionnaire and conduct a physical exam. You’ll be asked to describe your sleep issues as well as other related health conditions. We suggest that you prepare a list of questions and key issues you want to discuss before your appointment to ensure that all your questions are answered.
Next, your physician will work with you to develop a treatment plan, which may include an overnight sleep study to help diagnose your disorder. Some patients can do the sleep study at home, while others need to have it at our state-of-the-art sleep lab in Newport Beach. Sleep studies are painless, non-invasive and conducted in private rooms under the supervision of a trained and licensed professional.
What to do before your appointment:
- Complete a sleep history questionnaire before arriving
- Verify your insurance coverage and bring your current insurance card
- Obtain contact information for either your referring physician or primary care physician (PCP)If you have difficulty staying alert while driving, please arrange transportation to and from the lab
What to bring to your consultation appointment:
- Your sleep history questionnaire
- Any previous sleep study results (if available)Your PAP machine, mask and any other equipment (if applicable)
- A list of your medications
- Your physician's contact information (if not already provided)
