Community invited to annual picnic honoring those who fight brain cancer
Brain tumor fighters and survivors invited to share stories

The UCI Health Comprehensive Brain Tumor Program is inviting patients, family and friends to its annual community picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 9 at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
The day will feature food and festivities to celebrate the brain tumor community. Patients, physicians, staff, friends and family are all invited. Those who are not currently UCI Health patients are invited to come and learn more about the clinical services provided to brain tumor patients.
The picnic includes a free barbecue lunch as guests enjoy music, presentations by UCI Health physicians, raffle prizes and family-friendly games. Patients will also be invited to share their stories.
Part of Orange County’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, the UCI Health brain tumor program offers novel treatments such as the NovoTTF electrical field therapy, vaccines that train an individual’s immune system to fight tumor cells, and numerous clinical trials only available through UCI Health. As a regional center for brain tumor care, UCI Health treats patients from Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

Parking is available at no cost in the visitor parking structure. Patient shuttles are available to transport attendees from the structure to the event. Vehicles displaying Disabled Person Parking Placards may park in any disabled parking space. Disabled parking spaces are first come, first served.
