Brian O. Warnecke, DO
Hematology/Oncology
Dr. Brian Warnecke is a UCI Health general hematologist-oncologist. He sees patients with a broad range of hematology and oncology conditions, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck and skin cancers, as well as benign hematologic disorders and multiple myeloma. He earned his BS in psychobiology from UCLA before completing his medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, followed by his hematology oncology fellowship at UC Irvine.
He has written multiple peer-reviewed publications, including work on EGFR- and KRAS G12C–mutated non-small cell lung cancer and the role of repeat next-generation sequencing.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys hiking, running, exercising, cooking and spending time with his family and two dogs.
