Brogan G. Evans, MD

Dr. Brogan G. Evans is a UCI Health plastic surgeon.

He earned his medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated at the top of his class. He went on to complete his integrated plastic surgery residency at Yale School of Medicine where he was awarded the Deepak Narayan Award for Outstanding Chief Surgical Resident amongst Yale’s entire Department of Surgery. Following residency, he pursued advanced fellowship training in microvascular reconstructive surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he focused on complex reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, trunk, pelvis and extremities. 

Evans was drawn to plastic surgery because it requires complex problem-solving. He describes plastic surgery as “business meets art”—there is a problem to solve, and rarely only one way to solve it. He believes in providing bespoke, customized care, and enjoys evaluating what works best for each individual patient based on their anatomy, medical needs, goals and circumstances. 

His advanced reconstructive training encompassed some of the field’s most complex cases, yielding expertise in breast reconstruction after cancer treatment, microsurgical reconstruction, traumatic injuries, limb salvage and lymphatic surgery. In all of his reconstructive and aesthetic work, he focuses on both function and appearance, with the goal of helping patients move forward with confidence after cancer, trauma, or other life-changing circumstances.

Evans strives to be accessible and grounded with his patients and favors a thoughtful treatment plan that best aligns with the patient’s goals and medical concerns.

Outside of surgery, Evans enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, cooking and grilling and distance running. In recent years, he developed an interest in triathlons and hopes to compete in an Ironman.
