Mihaela C. Cristea, MD

Dr. Mihaela C. Cristea is a UCI Health hematologist oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gynecologic cancers.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iasi, Romania. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J. She then completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Florida - Health Science Center, Jacksonville.
Her research focuses on evaluating novel therapies to improve patient outcomes in gynecologic malignancies. She has contributed to over 50 peer-reviewed publications in prominent medical journals.
Cristea, who also speaks Romanian, brings extensive experience to UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
