She completed a residency in internal medicine at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, N.J., following prior training in family practice at Saint Spiridon University Hospital in Iași, Romania. She then completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville in Jacksonville.
