Dr. Andrew Smith is a board-certified UCI Health ophthalmologist who specializes in the management of cataract and glaucoma. 

He earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in ophthalmology at the UCI School of Medicine’s Gavin Herbert Eye Institute (GHEI), followed by a glaucoma fellowship at the institute.

Smith provides medical and surgical care for glaucoma patients as well as performing cataract surgery. He is the author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. His research interests include improving the surgical care of glaucoma patients. 

Smith sees patients in Irvine and Orange.
